About Bob's Photos

All photos on the "More Photos by Bob" pages are of wild animals. Some were taken in environments like city parks where animals are habituated to and sometimes fed by humans. However, I have eschewed feeding them myself.

None of the images displayed on these pages appears exactly as it came out of my camera. Nearly all for the images have been cropped, resized and sharpened. Often exposures have been modified. Dark areas of photos may have been lightened. Bright areas may been toned down. Dust spots may have been removed. I make adjustments like this without reservation. In my view, such adjustments enhance the images without altering their basic character.

A few of the images have been altered by doing things like removing branches that clutter the image or distract from the main subject. I have reservations about doing this. My goal is to show wild animals in their environments. Removing clutter makes the images more appealing, but it may misrepresent the environments. Any alterations like this are noted in image descriptions.
